Bebin and Paco create porcelain art pottery in their studio home in the hills near Wimberley Texas. They have been collaborating since 1978 and working from their present home since 1982.
Bebin Cypher and Paco Sutera produce colorful functional porcelain pottery in their studio/home in the Hill Country near Wimberley, Texas. They both throw and hand build, fire the pieces to a bisque temperature then glaze and paint the pots. The final high firing to 2400° F vitrifies the pots, actually melts the stains they paint with into the underlying glaze which also fuses with porcelain clay body. Between them they produce a wide variety of clay items from funky Christmas ornaments to dinnerware, clocks, lamps and one of a kind bowls, platters and wall pieces.
They both trained as production throwers in various studios in Europe. They’ve been making pottery together since 1978.
