Some people will say that Jeanie is self-taught, and others will say that she is an inspired artist. Jeanie awoke one morning in June, 2004 after a powerful dream, and she knew that she could hold a brush and that she would create fine art.
Now Jeanie is a fine artist. People love her representations of light, color, energy, and texture. Her work is exhibited in juried fine art shows and other venues several times per year.
Jeanie paints landscapes, florals, abstracts, and her visions, most of them painted with a palette knife. Many of her paintings are on canvas, some are mixed media, and Jeanie has also mastered painting on wood panels and on Plexiglas.
Jeanie also creates art glass pendants. Each pendant is made of layers of glass with additional elements and images (painted with a very fine, thin brush) sandwiched between the layers or on the top layer. Most pieces require two separate firings in the kiln, and some are fired more than twice.
Rounding out Jeanie's product line are limited edition prints in various sizes, note cards, and art on glass (pendants).People love her representations of light, color, energy, and texture.
Her work has been accepted in the following fine art venues:
